Let the fun begin - Summer Sessions 2025 Week 1
We kicked off the summer holiday forest school sessions in Pollok Country Park in Glasgow with a group of children aged 6 through to 11 years old, and we had a whale of a time.
Many of the children attending we’re also booked in for the week after, and it emerged during this first week that some of the children were keen to create play objects and games that would take several days to develop. It was a real luxury to have the time to commit to fulfilling their ideas, and this is one of the things I treasure the most about forest school - the long summer days allow us to take time, connect with our inspiration, and get that deep focus we need to pull off our ideas.
Sophie and Owen were leading these three days of forest school, with Shuna, Louis and Liv assisting on separate days, and we had a a group of 20 children and you can see some photos of some of the things we got up to below.
