About Glasgow Forest School
Glasgow Forest School has been delivering forest school sessions in Glasgow, Scotland since 2016. We provide holiday programmes for primary school age children and we work with schools to provide outdoor learning and forest school sessions during term time.
We also work with our local partners to provide sessions for children who are on flexi-school arrangements, and we provide creative-making workshops with natural materials for small charities and the public.
Hi, I’m Sophie
I’ve been a self employed forest school leader and trainer since 2016.
After 15 years working in magazine publishing and employing people to work at computers, I pivoted into forest school and outdoor education, and it’s been one of the most rewarding changes I’ve made in my life. I love the creativity that forest school has unlocked for me, and I love seeing the transformative power of nature at work in my sessions.
I’m also part of the Glasgow Region OWL group, which is supported by Scottish Forestry, and I’m a trainer with Forest School Training Collaborative. In my spare time I like to sing and dance in community groups in Glasgow’s Southside.

Forest School Level 3 (2016)
Outdoor First Aid (current)
Certificate in Therapeutic Skills for Outdoor Leaders from The Therapeutic Forest (2003)
Deliver Scotland’s Forest and Outdoor Learning Award (FOLA) in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
